Giving and receiving Charity Vouchers couldn't be easier.  Here, we explain how the service works...

A Charity Voucher makes a great present and helps to raise money for charities. The service is really quite simple:

• You buy a Charity Voucher to give as a gift.  The standard voucher comes in an attractive card and the value is whatever amount you choose from £10 upwards... you pay just the face-value and a small administration charge for the service, card and postage.  Charity vouchers are ideal presents for birthdays, anniversaries and Christmas as well as for one-off gift to say 'thank you' or 'congratulations'. 
   
• You give the voucher to someone... you can wrap it up and hand it over or pop it in the post
   
• That person can decide which charity to give the donation to; they can pick a charity on our site or indeed any UK charity they like - be it a local good cause, a national charity that means something special to them or their family, an international aid charity or whatever!
   
• The person redeems the voucher with the charity concerned, either by filling it in and posting it to the charity or to the Charity Vouchers office or by coming to this website and redeeming it on-line
   
• The charity and Charity Vouchers check the voucher details are correct
   
• Charity Vouchers donates the full face value of the voucher directly to the Charity
   
• If the recipient requests it then the charity will usually send a receipt or thank you - this can be sent by email if requested so that the charity doesn't spend any money on postage and printing out letters, as well as being faster and 'greener'!
