Giving and receiving Charity Vouchers is easy.  Here's how it works...

  • Choose which of the three formats you would like: The normal card and voucher which we send by post, an e-voucher which we send out by e-mail and you forward it on by e-mail, or a print-out-at-home voucher which we e-mail to you.

  • The value of the voucher is whatever amount you choose, from £10 upwards: £10, £15, £20, £25, £30, £40, £50 and so on... you pay just the face-value plus a small charge, £1.50 per voucher, to cover the administration involved in processing the order and also in making the payments to the charities when the vouchers are redeemed.

  • POSTED CARDS/VOUCHERS: The standard voucher comes in an attractive card.  We post your voucher and card to you by First Class mail, usually on the same day it is ordered.

  • Next, you give the voucher to whoever it's for... you can wrap it up and hand it over or pop it in the post. (If you are running short of time, or if you are ordering from outside the UK, we can add your personal message to the card for you and send it directly to the recipient on your behalf.  To do this, when you get to the 'Your Details' page when ordering, just fill in the delivery details, then write your personal message in the 'notes/comments' box at the bottom of the page, and we'll do the rest).

  • Next, the person you give the voucher to chooses which charity to give the donation to; they can pick any charity from the list on our site, or any other charity registered with the Charity Commission of England & Wales - be it an international aid charity, a national charity that means something special to them, or even a local church, school or scout group!   (We can also usually make donations of vouchers to charities in Scotland and Northern Ireland but cannot guarantee to be able to do so and we recommend donors to check with us by telephone before allocating their vouchers).

  • The person redeems the voucher in whichever way is easiest for them.   The quickest is to come on to our website to redeem the voucher online.   If they prefer, they can just call our Freephone number during normal office hours and redeem the voucher that way.   Alternatively, they can simply write the name of their chosen charity on the front of the voucher and post it back to us using the pre-addressed Freepost envelope which we send out with each voucher.  Or, last but not least, they may choose to give the voucher directly to the charity itself and the charity will then contact us themselves to redeem the voucher.

  • We then make payment, for the full face-value of the voucher, directly to the Charity.

  • If the recipient requests it, the charity will usually send a letter of acknowledgement and send the donor further information - this can be done by email if requested so that the charity doesn't spend any money on postage and printing out letters, as well as being faster and 'greener'.  However, the donor may choose to remain anonymous if they prefer.  If so, the charity will only be told the unique voucher number that the donation relates to.

  • E-VOUCHERS: This is the same service but all done by e-mail instead.  For more information please click here.

  • PRINT-OUT-AT-HOME VOUCHERS: We are now able to offer a Printable Voucher - we will e-mail you a voucher (in an A4 foldable format) to print off at home.  This is perfect for last-minute gifts!  When ordering, choose your card type (eg Happy Birthday) and voucher value in the normal way, then just type 'PRINTABLE VOUCHER' into the 'Notes & Comments' section when you get to the 'Your Details' page.  The voucher is sent in an Adobe '.pdf' format - so almost all computers will be able to open it very easily.  To see an example voucher, or to check that your computer can open 'pdf' files, please click here.
